@alexanderisora pretty sure it's registering the names of well known brands. I don't think the intention here is to defraud anyone.

@alexanderisora no. Cybersquatting is "registering, trafficking in, or using an Internet domain name with bad faith intent to profit from the goodwill of a trademark belonging to someone else." These are not registered in bad faith, not trademarked terms and don't belong to anyone except for the registered owner who is offering to sell them.

@oren If someone is registering domains not for their own use, but to sit on them until someone comes along who has an actual use for the domain so that they can charge them a premium that sounds like cybersquatting to me. If they were actually using these domains I would agree with you sure, but justifying it by acting like what they're doing is better than what anyone else is doing just sounds like an excuse.

This is cool. Feels rather expensive at first sight, but when I think of it, having all this custom made takes a lot of TIME and you pay the money anyway, so this might be a wise choice. Let alone most branding agencies will come up with tons of nonsense explanation about how the brand their designed expresses this and that, to justify the crazy price, when it's really just about good looking, simple, memorable name+logo. Thumbs up from me.

I love Brandpa! This is an extremely neat marketplace and has huge potential to grow.

Pros:

Love the fact that I can quickly select on a brand name with the logo.

Cons:

They could probably display the brand username availability on social media websites too.

I like how you aren't just buying a domain name, but also other brand assets such as the logo and banners. This allows you to save time and hassle and focus on growing your website/startup.
