Congrats on the launch, @mingxue1! I'm not familiar with this space but remember dealing with some similar challenges over a decade ago when I worked in the gaming industry. This feels like an old problem with many existing solutions so I'm curious how Anrok's different if you're able to share. :)

I'll let the results answer for itself on this one :) Anrok is the solution of choice amongst enterprise software companies, trusted by finance leaders at Vanta, Gem, Productboard, Pave, and many more. The longer answer is that legacy solutions are built for the retail world, where there is a physical store and a physical good being sold. The reality is that much of the future economy is now online. Customers can be anywhere and transactions are more akin to volumetric billing, where tax engines need to expect constant true-ups and changes to invoices. We've built a data model and system that caters to the complexities of SaaS and the digital economy. More on that in my interview with Sacra two years ago: https://sacra.com/research/miche... On the global note, legacy sales tax platforms came on the scene before selling software in the cloud was the norm, so they weren’t built to support modern internet businesses. And they grew their global support via acquisitions. Not a single tax engine has built sales tax and VAT support completely in-house. Until now.
