Hey Product Hunt thanks for checking out NiNow!
After trying to learn Chinese for almost 2 years I felt a ton of frustration try to glue together a bunch of apps, scheduling time with tutors, finding good content, etc. I talked to my cofounder Yoshi who is fluent in Mandarin but had also struggled as a heritage learner and shared a lot of the same frustrations.
So we teamed up, put our knowledge of language learning, building products and working with LLMs to create a new kind of learning experience that's centered around our AI tutor Coco. We think that it's a solid foundation for learning in a dynamic way with a useful tutor always in your pocket and we're building fast to figure out how we can push the experience further with genAI tools. It has really been fun and challenging to think about how we create an experience that's partially a traditional app and partially driven by AI.
We would love for everyone to try it, especially those who have struggled learning Mandarin before, and see if it's a better system for you over static content, boring topics, difficult vocab tracking and gamified (read: annoying) incentives. We think if people want to learn they will, we're not here to convert you into a Chinese learner we're here to make it as easy, accessible, and fun as possible.
