Researcher & Analyst in M365 Copilot – these are two new reasoning agents Microsoft just introduced. Instead of just basic chat, these agents provide expert-level help right within your workflow.
Researcher tackles deep, multi-source research. It pulls info from your work data (emails, files, etc.) and the web to put together comprehensive reports, saving significant time on tasks like market analysis or strategy prep.
Analyst acts like a data scientist in your pocket. It takes raw data from spreadsheets and other sources, analyzes it (even using Python), and helps you find insights, create forecasts, or visualize patterns.
The idea is to have this specialized expertise readily available while you work, all integrated securely within M365.
These are rolling out starting in April via a new "Frontier" program for users with an M365 Copilot license.
Researcher streamlines multi-source insights, while Analyst turns raw data into actionable intelligence—powerful additions to Copilot!
