I'm Daniil, a software engineer who loves building products that genuinely save people time every day. Some of you may know ClarifierAI from the iOS keyboard. Today I'm happy to bring it to Chrome.
🧩 Product Story
After launching the iOS keyboard, the most common request I got was: "I need this on my laptop too." Most of my own writing happens in the browser: emails, LinkedIn, support tickets, docs. And there I was back to copy-pasting between tabs and AI chats just to make one sentence sound right.
So I rebuilt ClarifierAI as a Chrome extension and kept everything people loved about the keyboard, including the exact same prompts, so your text comes out the same on phone and desktop.
🖥️ What is ClarifierAI for Chrome?
Select any part of your text in any text field, and ClarifierAI improves, translates or changes its tone right where you type. No new tab, no copy-paste. Only the part you selected is changed, the rest of your message stays untouched. Nothing is selected? It works on the whole field.
🔑 Key Features
- Select text → click the ClarifierAI button, press Alt+Shift+C, or right-click → "Format with ClarifierAI"
- Improve, Clarify, Grammar, Polite, Shorten and Translate, plus your own custom actions ("make it formal", "explain like I'm 5"…)
- Translate into 119 languages, with a searchable language picker and your recent languages on top
- See every change highlighted, and click any change to undo just that one, so you keep your own voice
- Press ✓ to replace the text, ⌘Z to undo
- UPPERCASE / lowercase in one click, no AI needed

🔒 Privacy
The extension reads your text only when you open ClarifierAI on it. No browsing history, no tracking, no ads.
💡 How I Personally Use It
1. Before sending an important email, I select the paragraph and run Improve
2. When a reply sounds too harsh, I select one sentence and make it Polite
3. When writing to colleagues abroad, I type in my native language and Translate in place
