Hi Product Hunt. I'm Yogesh, the one person behind Waendr, building from Mexico City.
The moment I decided to build this: I had a folder of saved travel reels, fourteen browser tabs and a spreadsheet, and still no plan. The reels showed me where people went, but never turned into a day I could follow. When I asked an AI assistant instead, I got a generic list, "explore the old town, try the local food", that would fit almost any city. It didn't know my passport, it didn't know the weather that week, and it had no idea whether anyone had actually been to the places it named.
That's what's broken. Inspiration lives in reels and posts, plans live in spreadsheets, and neither one tells you what the trip was really like. Generic AI made the guessing faster, not better, and it ignores visas entirely. Waendr closes that loop: one sentence becomes a plan, and real travelers' trips become your starting point.
What AI actually changes: it can turn one sentence into a sequenced, timed day. What it doesn't change: it still needs real-world constraints and real people to be trustworthy. So Waendr was built around both.
What it does. Type one sentence at waendr.com, in English or Spanish, and you get a day-by-day itinerary with timed stops, a route on the map for every day, weather, budget ranges, restaurants that fit your dietary needs, and a visa check for your nationality. Visa intelligence covers 55 passports, including Mexico, Brazil and 17 more Latin American countries, the US, Canada, India, Japan and the Schengen area. Up to 5 cities and 30 days in one trip. Underneath, a trip architect plans the days, four specialist agents find attractions, restaurants, hotels and activities, and a validator checks every place against Google Places before it reaches you.
And when you want more, just ask. Ask Waendr is a chat on every trip that already knows your plan: your stops, your hotel, your dates. Ask "where can I get dinner near day 2's last stop?" or "what's open late around my hotel?" and it answers with real places from Google, with hours and a map link, not names from memory. It can also swap or add a stop for you.
Then there's the feed. Real travelers post real places and share whole trips, and any shared trip can be cloned in one tap, exactly or customised. Every account follows the official @waendr account from day one, so the feed is never empty, and any destination post has a "Plan a trip here" button that pre-fills the planner. Your bell lights up the second someone follows, hearts or comments, without a refresh. Emails come from hello@waendr.com and land in the inbox.
What's different: the visa graph, the social loop that turns other people's trips into your starting point, and the fact that it was built Mexico-first. Your first trip plan is free. After that, buy a single trip (Trip Pass, US$5.99 or MX$119) or two (US$8.99 or MX$169), or go Traveler at US$29 a year (MX$549) for 30 trips a month, with the fair-use cap printed in the Terms. Mexican users pay in pesos, not a conversion.
Available in the Americas, India and Southeast Asia for now; Europe is next.
What I'd love from you: try it on your phone, plan something you're actually considering, and tell me what's wrong. Bugs found today get fixed tonight.
Thank you for reading this far. I'm here the whole day.
