DigitalOcean's AI-Native Cloud — five layers, one integrated stack, open at every layer, zero lock-in. Inference Engine with 65+ models. Inference Router auto-routes 90%+ of calls to OSS for 60%+ savings. Managed Agents, Knowledge Bases, and serverless / dedicated / batch inference. 25-40% lower than hyperscalers. Trusted by Character AI (800B tokens/day), Hippocratic AI (8M calls @ 400ms), and many others. From a single line of code to scaling AI in production — start here, scale here.

DigitalOcean Insights
Launching today
DigitalOcean Insights is an observability product that brings metrics, logs, and traces into one place for your infrastructure, applications, and AI agents. Built-in integrations send telemetry with no installation or instrumentation, and it runs on OpenTelemetry. Includes dashboards, explorers, PromQL queries, alerts, and an API. Covers DOKS, App Platform, and the agent stack. Free during public preview, with charging expected at GA

DigitalOcean Insights is an observability product from DigitalOcean that gives you one place to detect, investigate and monitor what your infrastructure, applications and AI agents are doing. It brings metrics, logs and traces together, and it’s in public preview.
Problem: Teams running agents or apps on DigitalOcean often spend time building integrations or setting up third-party monitoring tools before they can diagnose anything. Per the announcement, that setup work is what Insights aims to remove.
Solution: Telemetry flows in through built-in integrations, so there’s no installation, deployment or instrumentation for supported products. It runs on OpenTelemetry, an open standard, so your data stays in a portable format.
What makes it different: it covers the agent stack as well as the infrastructure. It reports metrics and logs for Serverless Inference, Batch Inference, Inference Router, Managed Agents and Action Gateway, including token throughput, latency, error rates and cost estimates. Action Gateway also gives traces that follow an agent turn through each tool call.
Key features:
Dashboards that combine your key signals in one view
Explorers for metrics, logs and traces, with drill-down from a product to a single resource and from a trace’s root span to the failing call
Query with a visual builder or PromQL, with time series, stat, gauge, bar and pie charts
Alerts on any metric, with an evaluation window and re-notification interval, routed to your existing notification channels
An API for alerts, notification channels, and querying metrics, logs and traces
Role-based access control, consistent with the rest of your DigitalOcean account
Coverage: DOKS (DigitalOcean Kubernetes) and App Platform report metrics, and DOKS also reports logs. The post says coverage is expected to grow during preview, including custom telemetry from your own applications and more DigitalOcean products.
Good to know:
It’s in public preview. DigitalOcean says it “expects but does not guarantee” that preview services perform for production-level workloads.
It’s provided at no additional charge during public preview, and DigitalOcean expects to begin charging at GA. It will announce pricing before billing begins.
DigitalOcean plans to consolidate its observability experience under Insights around GA. Existing Monitoring metrics and alerts keep working until then.
Who it’s for: teams running agents, apps on DOKS or App Platform, or infrastructure on DigitalOcean who want monitoring without wiring up separate tools.
