Portal gives you a cloud computer you can set up to show off a signed in account, and gives you a link. Whoever opens it is inside - no signup, no install. Choose what's off limits, make it multi-player or for async use, and add an optional AI that can see the screen and run full customer conversations, then share it like a Google Doc.

Hey Product Hunt π
A link can reach a marketing page. It can't reach the product.
Last year, I was a PM at Microsoft AI working on Copilot in the browser, and wondered why do we put the most valuable software behind an install or login, build screen recordings, clickthroughs, replicas, and sales calls - all approximations of the thing itself. It came to a head when I was running user research on a product but folks wouldn't install the extension to try it because they were afraid it was malware.
Portal is the actual product, just in a cloud computer, with a link. You can set it up in any state you want: decide what's off limits with a no code builder to block buttons or API calls as an enterprise, and get a link to share just like a Google Doc. Whoever opens it is inside, in a state you set up. You can be in there with them, or they can go alone with an optional AI that sees the screen and answers questions.
How I use Portal:
- When I facetime my parents I send a Portal link to open instead of screensharing so we both can click around and see the same spot
- To learn new tools like Photoshop with an AI tutor
- When we're running user research to drop people into a safe account to reduce friction to get feedback on new users
Our users run:
- Autonomous user research sessions.
- First round interviews where you perform a task in a real account.
- Intake conversations, or used as a business card replacement.
- Whiteboard with teams during a call.
- Support onboarding teams that can't give 1:1 calls to every new enterprise trial: instead, set up a demo account once in a Portal, use Portal's reset hook, and let prospects try the real product in a real account but make a mess safely that gets cleaned up in the db.
- Help FDEs as a way to send a POC rather than a client going to sign up and having cold start friction which might lose deals.
My thinking is a great way to diffuse frontier tech and make software more accessible & self-explainable is to change from URLs pointing to stateless marketing sites/landing pages, and instead to environments that are stateful/set up to try, use, or educate. We're backed by South Park Commons, and now launching the self-serve builder.

The team's really excited to see what interesting use cases you come up with, and are here to help! If you could let someone into something that normally needs a password, what would you send them?
