Junco is an iPhone app that turns email newsletters and RSS feeds into short, podcast-style episodes for the parts of your day when reading does not fit. Connect Gmail with read-only access or forward newsletters to a private Junco inbox, choose your sources, and listen with a queue, background playback, lock-screen controls, and offline support. Narration can run on-device on supported iPhones. Discover includes 100+ hand-picked newsletters.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I’m Alex, the maker of Junco.
I started building it after counting 38 newsletters in my inbox and realizing I reliably read maybe four. The writing was not the problem. The format was. Newsletters ask for focused screen time, while the empty space in my day is usually a walk, a drive, dishes, or the gym.
My first prototype was a reader with a good listen button. A couple of weeks in, I realized every problem I cared about was an audio problem: a real queue, background playback, lock-screen controls, offline downloads, and narration that did not feel like an afterthought. So I stopped trying to squeeze audio into a reader and built a podcast app instead.
Junco works with email newsletters and RSS feeds. You can connect Gmail with read-only access or use a private Junco inbox, choose the sources you care about, and turn new issues into short episodes. There is also a hand-picked catalog of 100+ newsletters, and narration can run directly on supported iPhones.
You can try Junco free on iPhone. If you have a newsletter graveyard of your own, I would genuinely love to hear what is in it and where Junco fits, or does not fit, into your routine.
Thanks for taking a look. I’ll be here all day answering questions and listening to feedback.
