SeenPool is a community-built archive of verified eyewitness footage. Each video is cryptographically authenticated, searchable by time and place, publicly accessible forever. Contributors upload original captures and SeenPool verifies each file's integrity before it enters the permanent record. Every video carries a cryptographic chain of custody: SHA-256 hash, trusted timestamp, device signature, and full provenance log. We're In private beta looking for more founding contributors now.

I built SeenPool because raw eyewitness footage of important events keeps disappearing. It gets buried by algorithms, replaced by edited versions, pushed out by influencer content. The authentic record of what actually happened usually vanishes within two weeks.
I'm building the permanent fix: a verified archive where original footage is cryptographically authenticated at upload, stored with full chain of custody, and publicly searchable forever. Not a social platform. Not a hosting service. A permanent record of life on earth — findable in ten years the same as today.
We're in private beta, building with our founding community — journalists, investigators, documentarians, and people who witness things the world needs to see.

One thing that would really help here is a side-by-side comparison view so people can see what changed between two captures of the same scene. Eyewitness footage often contradicts itself across uploads, and being able to lay clips next to each other with the metadata aligned would make the platform way more useful for anyone trying to piece together what actually happened.
@gler642899 This is exactly the kind of feedback we need. Thank you. The side-by-side comparison view is something we've thought about but haven't built. You're right about contradictory footage of the same event. Having the metadata aligned alongside the visual comparison would be genuinely powerful for investigators and journalists trying to reconstruct a timeline. I'm adding this to the roadmap. I really appreciate you thinking through the use case this carefully.
The provenance log is great, but a quick way to visually compare a submitted video against known fakes would be huge. Maybe an optional perceptual hash check or similarity search so contributors can flag near-duplicates that often pop up around major events.
