I’m the maker of Zerentry. I built it after dealing with the pain of manually processing receipts and invoices for accounting. Existing tools like Dext or Hubdoc work well, but I often found them limited when dealing with messy receipts, multiple VAT rates, or unusual invoice layouts.
Zerentry takes a different approach: **AI-first extraction**. Instead of relying mostly on classic OCR pipelines, it uses modern AI to better understand documents and structure the data automatically.
The goal is simple:
→ Upload a receipt or invoice
→ Let AI extract the data
→ Review quickly
→ Export to accounting tools like Xero or QuickBooks.
