I'm a solo maker launching WorkRate today from Melbourne. No marketing team or email list, just a tool I built to end the headache of tracking casual shift pay and unpaid breaks
WorkRate lets you input shifts, set custom rates (weekdays, weekends, evenings), see your gross earnings instantly, and export to CSV.
It's just me, so I genuinely need your brutal, honest feedback on the UI, time bands, and anything else you would like to see. Thanks for supporting an underdog!

Why did I build WorkRate?
I always found it difficult to figure out how much I was gonna get paid for my next payslip. So I decided to make a calculator to take all the stress out of it.
I wanted to make it as simple as possible for you guys so that anyone can pick it up and understand it in seconds. WorkRate has a range if features such as:
Shift tracking: Enter your shifts and account for unpaid breaks to calculate your paid hours.
Pay estimates: Get an estimate of how much you'll earn based on your hourly rates.
Customisable rates: Edit your hourly rates and the time bands they apply to.
Split-rate calculations: WorkRate automatically calculates earnings when a shift crosses into different hourly rate bands.
And there's more to explore, with plenty of ideas I'm hoping to introduce in the future!
This is my first big project, and it's been a massive learning experience. I've learnt a lot along the way, and I'm keen to keep improving WorkRate.
