Wooden Fish Online — Tap to Gain Merit - Free online wooden fish — tap for calm, focus, and merit +1

by
Built this because I wanted a distraction-free way to tap a wooden fish during work breaks. No app, no account — open the page and tap. The muyu (wooden fish) has been used in Buddhist temples for centuries as a focus tool. This is a free web version. Some people use it for meditation, some just tap it when they need a quiet moment. Merit resets every midnight — fresh start each day.

I built this during a particularly chaotic week at work. I kept reaching for my phone to find a wooden fish app, but everything either had ads, required sign-up, or just felt too heavy. So I made a simple web version — tap the fish, hear the sound, watch the merit count go up. That's it. The daily reset was intentional. A lot of people asked me to add a cumulative total, but I wanted it to feel like a practice rather than a score. Every morning you start from zero. Would love to know how people end up using it — meditation, focus timer, stress relief, or something I haven't thought of.

My coworker saw my screen and asked what I was doing. I tried to explain it. Now there are three of us tapping.

@alex_gu1 This is the best use case I've heard so far 😀
