Hey Product Hunt! 👋 Witnessed started with a simple question: **why do we still rely on memory and arguments when we have cameras in our pockets that can create objective proof?** A common problem kept coming up — rental deposits, Airbnb disputes, rental car damage claims, move-in inspections. One person says, "the damage was already there." The other says, "you caused it." Without clear documentation, it becomes a matter of trust, opinions, and sometimes expensive disputes. The existing solutions didn't feel right. Photo apps simply store images without context. Professional inspection tools are designed for property managers and enterprise workflows. Most people end up taking dozens of random photos that are impossible to organize or compare later when they actually need them. We wanted to build something for everyday situations — where someone has a phone, a few minutes, and a reason to protect themselves. During development, our thinking evolved. Initially, we focused on damage detection. But we learned that detection alone wasn't the real problem. People don't just need AI to say "something changed." They need a trustworthy record of **what existed before, what exists now, and what changed between the two.** That insight shaped everything — from our AI models to the way we generate reports.
