Why I built Who Read ToS
One day I started thinking about how absurd it is. We accept Terms of Service constantly, everywhere, without knowing what we're actually agreeing to. It's literally a contract, and we sign it blind, on autopilot, with one click.
Nobody reads them. They're long, written in legal language, and most of the time the "Accept" button shows up before you'd even get a chance to try.
So I built Who Read ToS. It reads Terms of Service and Privacy Policies for you and tells you in plain language what actually matters, with an A to F grade and an exact reference to where each clause appears in the original document.
You can use it two ways: install the Chrome extension for one-click analysis on any page, or just paste a link on the website if you don't want to install anything. There's also a public database comparing how different companies treat their users.
It's free, no signup, and we don't sell your data (the irony would've been too much).
Launching on Product Hunt July 1st. Happy to answer any questions before then.
