How do you track your muscle recovery? (Spreadsheets, wearables, or just guessing?)

by•

Hey Product Hunt community! 👋

As fitness enthusiasts, we've all been there: you wake up, get ready for the gym, and ask yourself: 'Am I actually recovered enough to hit chest today, or am I just going to overtrain?' Most of the tools out there either require a $300+ wearable tracker attached to your wrist 24/7, or force you to maintain a tedious, complex spreadsheet that doesn't really give you instant answers.

I’ve been working on a data-driven solution called WhatToTrain to fix this exact problem—giving athletes a clear, frictionless localized muscle fatigue blueprint without any hardware.

We are officially dropping on the homepage in a few hours, but before we go live, I wanted to open the floor to the community:

  1. How do you currently decide what muscle groups to train each day?

  2. What's your biggest pain point when it comes to preventing overtraining or injuries?

Would love to hear your thoughts, routines, and horror stories about overtraining below! I'll be hanging out here to chat and share insights. 👇
