Wedding Tip Calculator - Exact wedding tips, the cash to withdraw, no signup
by•
Two weeks before a wedding, couples realize they have no idea how much to tip everyone, and the advice online is a mess of "it depends." This fixes that. Enter what you're paying each vendor and Wedding Tip Calculator returns the exact tip per vendor, the total cash to withdraw down to the denomination, and a printable checklist so every envelope is labeled the night before. It covers 18 vendor types and is clear about who you tip and who you don't. No signup, nothing collected. 100% Free.

I built this because every "how much to tip at a wedding" article I found either dodged the question or quoted a range so wide it was useless. Couples don't want a range the week of. They want a number and the cash plan to go with it.
So the calculator gives you both: the tip per vendor, and the exact bills to ask for at the bank so the envelopes come out even. No small-bill scramble the morning of.
A couple of deliberate choices: no signup, browser-only math so I never see your vendor list, and it's honest about the awkward cases (some vendors you don't tip, some already charge a service fee).
Would love feedback on which vendor types feel missing or which defaults feel off.
honestly this looks super useful for the week before when everything is chaos. one thing that would help a lot is letting me save the vendor list as a draft so i can come back and tweak numbers as quotes change, since i basically lived in my phone for those last two weeks.
@n_yalc32635 Thanks for this! We loved the idea so much we just built it.
You can now save your vendor list right in the calculator and come back to tweak the numbers whenever a new quote lands. It saves to your own browser (nothing sent to us, no login), and next time you open it you'll get a little "welcome back, restore your saved list?" prompt. There's also a copy-link button if you want to pull it up on another device or hand it to your partner.
It's live now, so give it a spin and let us know if it does what you were picturing. Comments like yours are exactly how this thing keeps getting better.
honestly this looks super useful, like exactly the kind of thing I wish I had when planning. one thing that would actually save me a lot of stress though is letting me save multiple wedding scenarios side by side, since my fiance and I kept going back and forth between budget versions and retyping everything got old fast.
Honestly wish I had this two weeks before my own wedding. The printable envelope checklist alone would have saved me a frantic night with a spreadsheet and a glass of wine.
Pulled it up for a friend's wedding next month and the denomination breakdown saved me from doing math at the ATM the night before. Love that it tells you who not to tip too.
The breakdown per vendor was surprisingly detailed and took the panic out of a stressful week. Having the withdrawal totals down to specific denominations is a genuinely useful touch I didn't know I needed.
Honestly love that you covered who you don't tip, not just who you do. Most calculators just throw numbers at you, but that little note basically saves people from awkward over-tipping moments.
