WebPins - Pin thoughts to the internet - Drop small, map-style pins on any webpage to attach notes.

🎯 WHAT IS WEBPINS? WebPins transforms how you remember things online. Instead of bookmarking entire pages and losing context, drop a pin exactly where you found something interesting — a paragraph, an image, a price, a quote. Your pins stay anchored to that exact spot, waiting for you to return.

his started from a really small frustration. I kept saving things online but forgetting why I saved them. Bookmarks stored links, not context, so every revisit meant re-reading from scratch. I built WebPins for myself to keep my thinking attached to the page itself. Instead of saving a URL, I can drop a visual pin exactly where my attention was and leave a short note. When I come back days or weeks later, the page feels “alive” again and I can continue instead of restarting. The approach evolved a lot while building. I intentionally kept everything local, no accounts, no syncing, no external servers. I wanted it to feel instant, private, and lightweight. If it slowed me down or felt like another system to manage, it didn’t ship. I’m excited to see how others use this. I’ve been using it for studying, research, and work docs, but I’m sure there are workflows I haven’t thought of yet. Would love your feedback. What’s one thing you wish bookmarks or notes did better?
