Hey Product Hunt, I built WebCAD because getting access to real CAD software is still harder than it should be, especially for students, makers, and anyone working on shared or low-spec machines. In schools, makerspaces, and labs, installs, licenses, and hardware limitations constantly slow people down. At the same time, most browser-based tools stop at viewing or mesh exports, which isn’t enough for real engineering work. WebCAD runs entirely in the browser while still letting you create and edit solid geometry, export real B-Rep STEP files, work on Chromebooks or shared computers, and use AI to speed up repetitive CAD tasks rather than replace design. This launch is an early step. We’re actively improving workflows, collaboration, and performance based on feedback.
