Hi Product Hunt! I'm Mehdi, and I made WaveCheck. People around me kept asking whether the Wi-Fi router next to their bed or the AirPods in their ears were "bad for the brain". The apps that claim to measure this mostly show scary numbers with no explanation, and many iPhone "EMF meters" just read the compass sensor, which can't even detect Wi-Fi. So I built the opposite: WaveCheck uses your Mac's own Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios to measure the signal strength of every network and device nearby. It converts that into exposure (µW/m²), adds it all up, and compares it with the ICNIRP / FCC safety limit. Then it tells you plainly what that means, with sources. What you'll see: • Your total exposure and how many times below the limit you are (usually tens of thousands) • A frequency map of 2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz with your network highlighted • Every router, phone and device ranked by its share of your exposure • A 10-minute history graph, so you can walk around and compare rooms • A calculator for devices the meter can't see (your own phone, earbuds) It's an estimate (about ±10 dB), not a calibrated instrument, and the app says so. No data leaves your Mac. 7-day free trial, then $9 once. I'd love your feedback, especially on the method!
