I'm sure this product is amazing but can we all take a moment to appreciate that they bought waterc00ler.com?
lol $9.99
Hey PH! 👋 Our mission is to make WFH fun and strengthen friendships within teams. That’s what’s really missing in the remote workplace. Most existing tools are oriented around meetings and productivity — Watercooler is for all the moments in-between, like lunch breaks and happy hours. It’s not a replacement for Slack or Zoom, but coexists alongside them. While those tools seek to improve productivity, we're oriented around genuine social connection among colleagues. Think features like voice changers, games and other fun activities. :)
I'm so excited to try this out with our team. We've been struggling with random slackbots and ways to connect. There are a lot of people onboarding missing that social connection at work. <3
Congrats on the launch. Any plans on incorporating a non-slack login?
indeed! Which type of auth are you interested in? Teams? Google/Email?
Ideally, email. It gives most flexibility to people. Personally, Google would work well as well.
cool, will make that happen for you soon!
Thank you. Looking forward to it.
Discord voice channels but for work, I am all ears :-)
It’s awesome!!!!
I second Salil - does this require a slack login? Our company currently uses Teams and a mix of other tools.
gotcha, yep it will support other login mechanisms!
So needed rn. Can't wait to try!
Super intriguing. Do you have more info on how it works before I download?
sure, what would you like to know?
is there a video demo at all or some screen shots that just talk about what it does and how? The landing page just prompts you to sign up. I'd just like to better understand the product before I connect it to my slack and let it loose on my teams :) We use Donut so not sure if it's the same sort of thing?
love the name
