The synced play button timing across all those streaming platforms must have taken serious engineering work to get right, especially with how picky some players are about user gestures. Great execution on something most would have skipped.

the synced playback actually works without weird lag, which honestly surprised me. being able to log the watch session automatically after is a nice touch too

Would love to see a shared "currently watching" widget that friends can drop into Discord or iMessage so we can see what each other is binging without opening the app first.

Love that the watch party syncing works across so many streaming services, that's the killer feature here. One thing I'd love to see is a shared "continue watching" shelf inside the party room so when someone joins late, they can jump to the exact minute everyone is at with one click instead of hunting through the chat to figure out the timestamp.
@metin864630 I believe if the host pauses and presses play again that it should sync up the person who just joined, I'll look into making that automated or adding the join/continue route, thank you for your feedback!
I will be looking to add support for more services in future, just want to get the current experience with the current services working flawlessly.
syncing playback with a friend on Netflix worked surprisingly smoothly and the auto-logging to both our histories saved me the usual post-episode hassle. the free tier having advanced stats is a nice touch too.

Love that the browser extension side panels keep the chat and play controls right next to the stream instead of forcing a separate window. Sync timing on a shared "press play" moment is notoriously janky and you pulled it off across all those services for free.

For the side panel, I wanted it to feel seamless and like it "belonged" with/along side the place you're watching it, I'm happy you like the implementation
the synced play button approach is genuinely clever - skipping the "start exactly when i say go" awkwardness most watch party tools ignore. nice that the streaming detection seems to work across the big services too.

Finally tried this with a friend across timezones and the play button actually synced perfectly on Netflix, which I did not expect. The shared history afterward is a really nice touch, makes it feel like we actually watched something together.
