Voltyn - See your Mac's live power use from the menu bar

by•
Voltyn shows how much power your Apple Silicon MacBook is using right now, in watts, right in the menu bar with a 60-second trend. Open the details window for 60s, 1h, 1d and 7d history, input/system/battery power flow, adapter capability, estimated battery health, temperature and cycle count. A medium desktop widget shows the last hour. Missing data is never shown as zero. Everything stays on your Mac. US$1.00 one-time, no subscription. macOS 14+.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Levi, an indie developer. I built Voltyn because macOS tells you a battery percentage, but not how many watts your MacBook is actually using. I wanted that number in the menu bar, at a glance. What it does: • Menu bar: current system power in watts plus a 60-second trend • Details window: history for 60s / 1h / 1d / 7d • Input, system and battery power flow, adapter capability • Battery health estimate, battery temperature and cycle count • Medium desktop widget showing the 1-hour recorded average A few principles I cared about: • Missing data is never shown as zero. If a reading isn't available, Voltyn says so. • Everything stays on your Mac. No account, no telemetry. • US$1.00 one-time purchase. No subscription, no in-app purchases. It runs on Apple Silicon MacBooks with macOS 14 or later. I'd really like your feedback: what would you want to understand about your Mac's power use that Voltyn doesn't show yet?
