Turn speech into clean text, instantly. Talk, and SotiTalk writes it down without the ums, and fixes it when you change your mind mid-sentence. Free on iOS and Android. No signup.
I built SotiTalk with one hand, and I mean that literally.
In February I hurt my hand doing calisthenics.
For weeks I could not type properly.
Typing with one hand was slow and tiring, so I built a voice-to-text app called SotiTalk.
What SotiTalk does:
-> Turns your voice into text while you speak, in 13+ languages
-> Cleans up your text and removes the "ums" and "uhs"
-> Fixes it when you change your mind mid-sentence. Say "the meeting is at 11, no wait, 2 p.m." and you get "The meeting is at 2 p.m."
-> Gets tech words right that the iPhone gets wrong, like n8n, Docker and kubectl
-> Keeps everything on your phone, with no signup and no paid plan
I use it for brain dumps, meeting notes and capturing context for AI agents.
My favorite feedback came from someone who uses SotiTalk to talk with a 99-year-old person. That person can't hear well, so they read the live text on the phone. They asked for bigger text.
I never thought a 99-year-old would use my app.
I didn't think of this case, but it made sense, so we added four font sizes.
Now I use the large text myself, because it's so much more comfortable.
At the first release I expected 2 to 5 downloads.
But in the first 24 hours, over 1.000 people downloaded the app.
So I'm clearly not the only one who hates typing on a phone.
Which speech-to-text app do you use right now, and what's missing in it?
