Editor - A secure browser Sequence & Structure editor for bio-data

by
Vici.bio Editor is a browser-based workspace for storing, viewing, editing, and managing biological data. Upload sequences and structures, inspect them visually, make quick edits or mutations, and keep your files organised in a secure cloud workspace built for researchers, students, and biotech teams working with protein, DNA, RNA, and structure data.

Hey Product Hunt, I built Vici.bio Editor because biological data still does not have the kind of modern workspace it deserves. If you work with sequences or structures, you usually end up jumping between old desktop tools, basic sequence viewers, PDB viewers, folders, notebooks, and cloud drives. Some tools are powerful but expensive. Others are free but feel dated, limited, or like thin wrappers around SeqViz-style components. I wanted to build something different: a free, browser-based editor where researchers can store, view, edit, and organise biological data in one place. The bigger idea is to let users work with sequence and structure together, not as separate files in separate tools. You should be able to open a protein, inspect the sequence, view the structure, make edits or mutations, save your work, and keep everything secure without needing a messy local setup. Vici.bio Editor is still early, but the goal is ambitious: to become the modern, slick workspace for everyday biological data. Would love feedback from anyone working with FASTA, PDB files, protein sequences, DNA/RNA, mutations, or structural biology workflows.
