Vibexpert - A college platform where connection is a vibe.

I'm Irfan, and I built VIBEXPERT because a bunch of us on campus kept saying the same thing — "why doesn't something like this already exist?" Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat — they're all built for everyone, which really means they're not built for anyone specific. There was no space that actually felt like it belonged to our college. So the core idea became simple: what if your college itself was the community, not the whole internet? Everything in VIBEXPERT is scoped around that — a feed split between your whole verified campus and just your close circle, four different kinds of chat (including a genuinely anonymous mode that's still accountable on the backend, not a free-for-all), a shop, contests, and a way for campus creators to actually get brand deals without needing 50k followers first. The idea was the easy part. The build was 18 months of Flutter, a lot of WebSocket connections silently dropping at the worst times, and more than one 3am debugging session that ended with a single misplaced null check. Ghost Chat alone went through several full rebuilds before I trusted it enough to ship — "anonymous but still accountable" turned out to be genuinely hard to get right. It's live on the Play Store now, and I'd genuinely love to know: does this problem — no real digital space built around your own college — resonate outside India too?
