I make a weekly teaching show: a long message, dozens of on-screen scripture cards, two logos, captions for YouTube, and a deadline every week. For years I edited it in a well-known consumer editor. What finally pushed me out was the pop-up ads while I worked and updates installing themselves without asking. I wanted an editor that stayed out of my way. So I built VerseCut. It runs entirely on your computer: no ads, no account, nothing uploaded. Transcription happens locally, and new versions install only when you choose. Then I built in the parts of my weekly routine that ate the most time. You can drop in a whole folder of scripture cards and they land on their exact cue, two logo tracks hold your corner logos, and smooth joins between segments take one click. I built it for my own show, and I’m sharing it because I suspect a lot of creators, churches and small teams want the same thing: an editor that works for them and doesn’t treat them as the product. I’d love your feedback, especially on what’s missing from your own weekly workflow.
