VBatPower.com -- Questions and Feedback

Hi everyone 👋

I'm the maker of VBatPower () — a free, browser-based tool for battery and power engineering. It's built to answer three questions for anyone working on battery-powered electronics: how long will it last, how much power does your circuit draw, and how does it discharge over time.

What's in it today:

  • A battery-life model — describe your device as batteries → components → states with real duty cycles, and get a lifespan estimate plus a discharge curve.

  • 438 verified formulas across 32 categories (Ohm's law through RF link budgets), each solvable for any variable with built-in unit selectors.

  • 12 converters and units-aware calculator flows that chain inputs, formulas, and expressions — every value dimension-checked, so volts never silently become amps.

  • MCU telemetry — log real current from an Arduino/ESP32/STM32 as CSV and chart the measured discharge against your estimate.

It's free while it's in beta — you'll just need a free account to sign in.

I'm starting this thread as the home for anything VBatPower — questions on how something works, bugs or numbers that look off, formulas or features you wish it had, and general feedback. A few things I'd genuinely love input on:

  • Which formulas or categories are missing for your work?

  • Is the battery-life / duty-cycle model clear, or where did it trip you up?

  • Anything that gave a surprising or wrong result?

Ask me anything — I'll be around and reading every reply.
Thanks for taking a look.
