What “orchestration” means in voice AI (and why your agent needs it)
Hi everyone!
We keep getting asked what we mean by “orchestration platform”. Here’s the simplest way we can put it.
Think about paying on a big shopping site during a sale. If one payment gateway fails, the system quietly retries on another one, and you never see the failure. Sites do this because every failed payment is lost revenue.
Voice AI works the same way:
Pick a primary model and a backup.
If the primary has an issue mid-call, the platform switches to the backup, so one failure doesn’t ruin the whole conversation.
When the primary is healthy again, it switches back.
Your caller never hears the problem. They just get a conversation that keeps going.
Thanks to @somiljain7 , who shaped how this feels to use. Tell us which provider failures worry you most.
