Hey everyone! 👋 I built UV Index Now because I noticed something weird — people check the weather every day, but almost nobody checks the UV. And UV is what actually burns your skin. The idea was simple: make checking the UV as fast as checking the temperature. Open the site, see your number, know what protection you need. Done. What I'm most proud of is the Sunburn Calculator, select your skin type, and it tells you exactly how many minutes until you burn at the current UV level. It's the thing I wish I had before every beach trip. The site covers 335+ cities worldwide, runs on live data, and works as a home screen app. Built it as a solo project on the .now TLD (backed by Amazon Registry) because the domain says exactly what the tool does.
