Why local-first & offline utility apps matter in 2026

While building UtiliMax, I focused heavily on one core design decision: 100% on-device processing with zero server dependencies.

Modern web and cloud tools are great, but for simple tasks—like merging PDFs, cropping images, or OCR text extraction—uploading private files to external servers often feels unnecessary and slow.
