typecode — Learn to Code by Typing - Learn programming syntax by typing real code

by
TypeCode helps developers or beginners build programming fluency by typing real code. Practice syntax, improve recall, and develop muscle memory with interactive coding exercises. Think of it as deliberate practice for coding, not just typing practice.

Hey everyone 👋 I'm Anurag, and I'm excited to share TypeCode with you today. The idea came from a frustration I've had for years while learning new languages, frameworks, and tools. Even after reading documentation, watching tutorials, and building small projects, I found myself constantly looking up syntax I'd already learned. I realized that understanding code and being fluent in writing it are two different things. So I started experimenting with typing real code snippets as a way to reinforce syntax and build muscle memory. The more I did it, the more natural those languages started to feel. That eventually turned into TypeCode. TypeCode is a simple platform where you can practice by typing actual code instead of random words or generic typing exercises. The goal isn't to replace learning resources or coding projects—it's to help bridge the gap between learning a concept and becoming comfortable enough to write it from memory. Since this is still early, I'd love your honest feedback: * Does this solve a problem you've experienced while learning to code? * What languages, frameworks, or technologies would you want to practice? * What would make you come back and use TypeCode again tomorrow? * If you tried it today and never returned, what would be the reason? * What's missing that would make this a daily habit for you? Thanks for checking it out and supporting indie makers. I'll be around all day to answer questions, gather feedback, and learn what would make this genuinely useful for developers. 🚀
