Hi Product Hunt 👋

I built Tuck because my MacBook's menu bar kept disappearing behind the notch. Tuck is a small native macOS app (about 8 MB, signed and notarized, Intel and Apple silicon) that keeps the menu bar tidy:

• Push Mode: click once to hide the icons you chose, click again to bring them back, or press ⌘⇧B

• Shelf Mode: hidden icons appear in a panel below the menu bar, which is great on notched MacBooks

• Per-icon control: keep an icon always visible, always hidden, or following the toggle

• On macOS 14, 15 and 26 it can also hide Apple system icons; on macOS 27 core system controls stay visible

All of the above is free, forever. Pro is a one-time US$14.99 for up to three Macs with lifetime updates, and adds Auto-Hide, Hover Reveal, app-specific rules, Shelf styles and ordering, custom icons and spacing controls. No subscription.

Privacy: the app has zero telemetry. It only goes online for license validation and signed update checks.

Tuck supports macOS 14–27.
