ttokidoki - A Pomodoro timer that catches you checking your phone

by•
ttokidoki is a Pomodoro timer for iPhone and iPad. Prop your phone up, start a session, and a fuzzy little friend studies with you. Glance at your phone and the front camera notices: a ghost pops up and the glance gets counted. Camera images are processed on your device. Finish sessions to earn Insight and unlock new friends, then see your real focus time in daily stats, a calendar and a timeline. Live Activity keeps the countdown on your lock screen. Free, in 4 languages.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm a solo developer from Korea. Most timers only know how long they ran, not whether you were actually focused. ttokidoki uses the front camera to notice when you look at your phone instead of your work. When you do, a ghost pops up and the glance gets counted. Camera images are processed on your device. Funny part: I launched it, got busy with another app, and left it alone for months. When I finally checked App Store Connect, it had picked up 419 downloads in 90 days, almost all from search. That made me feel bad enough to redo every character in a rougher, hand-drawn style, which is what you see in the screenshots. You unlock new friends by focusing, and there are 10 of them so far. I'd love to hear what makes you quit a focus timer after a week. That's the part I'm trying to fix next.
