Get paid what you're owed. TrustBridge puts your money in escrow until the work is done.

I'm Cameron, building TrustBridge, an escrow payment platform for freelancers and agencies.

Quick backstory: I've watched friends doing freelance work spend months chasing invoices on projects they'd already delivered. The client either drags it out or just disappears. The tools that exist either don't fit the scale (most escrow services are built for six-figure deals) or they're just invoicing with a nicer UI.

The idea with TrustBridge is simple, client funds are held in escrow when a project starts, and released when milestones are signed off. Nobody has to chase anyone.

Under the hood it's built on Stripe and Escrow.com infrastructure, with full audit trails on every transaction and PSD3 compliance baked in from day one — not bolted on after the fact.

Still in development, but I'm trying to pressure-test the concept before I go too far down the wrong road.

A few things I'm genuinely unsure about and would love input on:

— Is escrow too much friction for smaller projects, say under £1k? Or is the trust factor worth it?

— Have you actually lost money to a disputed project? How did you handle it?

— What would make you switch away from whatever you're using now for invoicing?

Harsh takes welcome. Especially from anyone who's been on the client side of this.
