After 6 years selling on Etsy, I built the trend radar I always wished existed

by•

Hey everyone šŸ‘‹ I'm Kevin, a product designer and a long-time Etsy seller.

For years I lost the same two ways. I'd spot a trend too late (by the time a keyword tool can measure it, the first page is already 300 sellers deep), or I'd finally ride a hot theme and then wake up to a suspension email because a name or character in my tags turned out to be trademarked.

So I did what a lot of us do: I hunted trends by hand. 60+ browser tabs, cross-referencing premieres, the commercial calendar, and rising searches, trying to be early. It worked, but it ate my weekends.

I turned that manual playbook into a tool: Trendlark. It surfaces what's about to trend 2 to 8 weeks before it peaks, runs a brand-safety pass so you don't risk a ban, and hands you a ready-to-list kit (keywords, title, price, mockups). There's also an AI co-pilot that turns any idea into a brand-safe kit.

I'm launching on Product Hunt this Saturday, and before then I'd genuinely love to hear from other sellers:

• How do you find trends early today? What's your process?

• Have you ever been hit (or scared) by a trademark takedown?

• What would make a tool like this actually indispensable for your shop?

Honest feedback welcome, good or brutal. Thanks šŸ™
