Trayage launches tomorrow: what makes Downloads cleanup feel safe?
Hi everyone, I’m Kyle, the solo developer behind Trayage. It launches here on Product Hunt on October 2, and I’d love to hear how you handle Downloads clutter.
Installers, repeated PDFs, old archives: finding them is one thing; deciding what to keep is another. Trayage brings installers, likely duplicates, and old or large files together for review, with an explanation of why each file stands out. File analysis stays on your Mac, and you confirm before selected files move to Trash.
One detail I want to be clear about: likely duplicates currently use filenames and file sizes. Their contents are not compared. Content verification is on the roadmap, along with remembering ignored files and customizable age and size thresholds.
What slows you down most when reviewing Downloads? Which would help you more: verifying duplicate contents, remembering what you chose to keep, or adjusting what counts as old or large?
The direct Mac version is available now with a 7-day cleanup trial; the optional license is US$29.99 once. The Mac App Store edition is still pending review.

I’d appreciate feedback on the review workflow, especially anything that feels unclear.
