I built Transkripe to make YouTube videos usable even without captions

I’m launching Transkripe soon and wanted to share what I’m building before launch.

Transkripe turns YouTube videos into clean transcripts and AI outputs like summaries, notes, key points, quizzes, blog drafts, LinkedIn posts, newsletters, study guides, and more.

The important part: if a YouTube video already has captions, Transkripe extracts them. If the video has no captions, users can generate an AI transcript instead. So the workflow does not stop just because captions are missing.

I also wanted the free plan to be actually usable, not just a fake demo. Free users get credits to try the product, and logged-in free users can claim daily bonus credits, so they can keep using Transkripe without being forced to upgrade immediately.

I’m building this as a solo developer and trying to keep the product simple: paste a YouTube link, get the transcript, then turn it into something useful.

I’d love honest feedback:

- Which AI output would you use most?

- Would daily free credits make you more likely to come back?

- What would make this worth paying for?
