Transit - Subway maps of your data.

by•
🚇 Turn distributed traces, GitHub Actions runs, and coding-agent sessions into animated NYC-subway-style maps: GIF, MP4, or an interactive page you can drop in Slack. Fully local, no telemetry. An agent skill for Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm Israel, a full-stack engineer and heavy AI coding-agent user. I built Transit because debugging traces in a waterfall tells you what happened, but doesn't help you show anyone. So I made traces, CI runs, and agent sessions render as animated NYC-subway-style maps: services are lines, spans are stations, slow calls get a DELAY marker, and errors get a SERVICE ALERT, placed where the failure starts, not on every downstream span. Key bits: 🚇 Three skills: request-transit (OTLP/Datadog/PostHog/X-Ray/Tempo traces), ci-transit (GitHub Actions runs), agent-transit (Claude Code/Codex/Cursor sessions) 🔒 Fully local: no telemetry, no tracking, nothing leaves your machine 📼 GIF, MP4 (deterministic, frame-exact), or an interactive page you can drop in Slack 📦 One install: npx skills add israelvicars/transit -g -a claude-code -a codex -a cursor Try it on your own data and tell me: does the map show you something the waterfall didn't? 👇 Happy to answer anything about the rendering, the skill format, or the local-only design.
