Tortoise - Fractal torus and sacred geometry. Free and open source.

Generate variations of a fractal torus in your browser. Shape it as visions seen in meditation or altered states, create light fields as plasma, create rendered images with AI based on its structure, and export perfect video loops, 16K posters, plotter lines and 3D prints. Free and open source. (Best viewed in desktop)

Hi,
I'm Fabin, an artist and creative-technologist. For a few years I've been working on a fractal torus structure called the Tortoise: two families of Hopf fibres turning against each other on a torus, with the whole thing repeated at every point where they cross, until it becomes a fractal torus. It's the heart of my book, Nameless. It connects the fractal torus with different symbols, mythologies and sacred geometric structures around the world. Tortoise Generator is the tool I built to explore it, and I am releasing this free and open source (MIT) today. Features:
Everything runs in your browser
Shape it live: fibre count, recursion, the centre hole, profile, bridge, openings, nested tori, crossing lattices.
Phenomenology: see the same structure as 21 of the world's visions: Ophanim's wheels full of eyes, Vishvarupa, Indra's Net, Yggdrasil, and two-sided figures like Devas and asuras.
The field: the structure as living light, with plasma, pulses and a heartbeat computed from the same Hopf coordinates.
Structure to Image: send any view to Stability AI as a structure reference, with your own key, and the geometry comes back as jewellery, a cathedral dome or a painting.
3D print: the frame on screen becomes one watertight solid (STL or 3MF), built in the browser. The blue prints in the gallery came straight out of it.
Export: perfect loops (MP4 or GIF), posters up to 16K with print bleed, and SVG or DXF lines for pen plotters and lasers.
Nothing is uploaded, except what you choose to send to Stability.
Made with Claude Code, ThreeJS and a lot of love. Shoutout to everyone who helped grow the project: https://nurecas.com/nameless-cre...
I'd love to see what you make with it, and to hear what you'd want next. Feedback on the 3D print and plotter exports would be especially welcome.
