Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built Torch because I kept watching friends get pulled deeper into online sportsbooks. The texts asking to borrow money. The group chat going quiet on Sundays. The "just one more parlay" that turned into a problem. But I also missed what made sports fun in the first place — sweating games with friends, the trash talk, the bragging rights when your dog of a parlay actually hits. That stuff isn't the problem. The money is. What I personally wanted was a blend of two things: fantasy sports, with a commissioner running the league, and the ability to predict real games using actual sportsbook odds — just without anyone losing money. That didn't exist. So I built Torch to compete with my own friends. It's a social sports prediction app where you and your group compete using virtual points instead of cash. Same dopamine, no financial damage. A few things that came out of the build: - Commissioner-run leagues so groups can customize their own sports and bet types - The Den feed for real-time trash talk and reactions - Pass the Torch for loaning points to friends on cold streaks - Weekly paydays that keep everyone in the game
