Toby - Better Than Bookmarks

by

Bookmarks are for books, not browsers. Organize your browser tabs into Toby so you can access key resources in one click instead of seven. Toby is browser extension that helps organize your tabs.

I have struggled with dozen's of tab's open at all times for a long time now and couldn't find a system that worked! So far I love the experience and my life already seems less chaotic !! The real test will be if I can build it into a system that works and not just a tab junk drawer!

Design is quite nice, but I still prefer another similar extension, Tabli https://goo.gl/fVG3ar that has better features such as open tabs in a new window and works as a button. I indeed think that extensions that work in new tabs are limiting because they exclude each other.

If you use Chrome, get this extension.

@arthur_camara Are you thinking for introducing search feature for the toby lists?

Guys, please provide an explanation why you decided to switch to a Toby that forces itself on every new tab. Right now there nothing on your blog, faq or even no announcement on twitter. Thus the change was unexpected and this is really frustrating. Now I'm in doubt - are there any other changes that will be forced on me that I might not like. Like ads? I know you have an alternative solution, but I'd much appreciate first announcing it and then implementing. And on second note, is there a difference in feature set or functions between these two Toby versions?

Can you use Toby for separated worktables? Lets say you need to be logged in to 2 CRM systems (but the same, for example Hubspot). Mostly if you are logged into one you can't log in to another one without the system automatically logging you out from the other. Hope this makes sense. :) So like this you can set up your private workplace in your browser. In short. You can manage 2-3-4 companies in separated browsers without incognito mode.

I love Toby. I prefer Toby to Pocket due to ease of access to reopen the websites that I have saved without clicking 'View Original Website' on Pocket. I actually think they serve a different purpose. Toby more for quick easy reference to live websites, and Pocket is more for saving the content or text you want to reference later. Recently my Toby account changed from being able to access and organize all my tabs from neat and organized Collections on the top to all of my tabs being listed in a messy list? Not sure what happened. :/

I was testing this out same week I was testing google's "Keep", There's a couple of issues I find a bit hard to ignore with Toby (1. It's hijacking my tabs and (2. It doesn't show when an opened page is already saved. Although you can see it everytime you open a new tab as sessions on your collection. Aside from this 2 it works and does the job of keeping all your tabs in one place. Although not sure how effective it is from keeping me from opening new tabs.

Be nice if this didn't keep hijacking your homepage
