What do you still refuse to put in the cloud?

by

Maybe this is just me, but I feel like not every workflow needs to become a cloud dashboard.

I get why SaaS is popular. Sync, backups, collaboration, payments, integrations and access from anywhere are genuinely useful.

But with more sensitive work, I hesitate. Invoices, client data, hourly rates, project notes, timesheets, financial details. That’s not just productivity data. It can reveal a lot about my business, my clients, my income and how I work.

Of course, local apps have tradeoffs. You have to think more about backups, and you don’t automatically get web access or collaboration. But I still think there is a real case for keeping some workflows on your own device instead of putting everything into another cloud platform.

Curious where you draw the line. Which workflows do you still prefer to keep local for privacy reasons, and which ones are worth moving to SaaS despite the sensitive data involved? Am I overthinking this?
