Hey Product Hunters! πŸ‘‹ I’m Rizwan. As a solopreneur, I always struggled with the disconnect between tracking the hours i spend on projects and communicating my availability to clients and people. Traditional time trackers are overly complex, and scheduling apps don't integrate with the actual work i am doing. I built this tool "TIME" to solve exactly this problem. The goal is to empower users to seamlessly keep track of their time without the administrative headache or paying subscription. Here is what you can do with TIME: πŸ“Š Visual Allocations: Set hour allocated hours for different projects/clients and watch your progress bars fill up as you work. ⏱️ Live Time Tracking: A zero-friction, one-click timer to strictly track hours across all your active commitments (Start when you start working, stop when you stop, thats all yo have to do) πŸ”— Public Availability Page: Instantly generate a public link (e.g., time.iamrizwan.com/rizwan) that displays my real-time availability to the world, making it effortless for a clients/someone to know when i am open for work or how many hours i have to allocate. Its free to use, i built it for me, now sharing with you all I’d love to hear your feedback, feature requests, or any questions you have about our tech stack! i'll be hanging out in the comments. πŸ‘‡

The live availability page is a nice touch, way easier than back-and-forth emails to set expectations with new clients. Wish I'd had this when I was juggling freelance gigs last year.

HeyΒ

That back-and-forth email dance of 'I have some capacity next month, but it depends on this other project' is exactly what drove me crazy and made me build this in the first place.

Juggling freelance gigs is stressful enough without having to constantly do mental math on your own availability. I really appreciate the kind words! Thank you so much! πŸ™

And the best part: you can also embed the public page directly into your own personal website if you want to maintain your brand value!

How does this handle overlapping commitments or recurring tasks, like if I have a weekly client call but want to block out prep time separately?

Hey! Β  Thanks for checking it out!

Because TIME isn't a traditional calendar app, it doesn't care exactly what hour of the day you do the work, it only cares about your total bandwidth. It will automatically subtract your commitments from your total weekly/monthly capacity so you never overbook yourself.

To handle your workflow, you actually have two options:

  1. Split them up: You can create two separate items (e.g., "Client Call" for 1 hr/week, and "Prep Work" for 2 hrs/week).

  2. Use Session Logs: You can create a single item called "Client X" for 3 hrs/week. Every time you start and stop your live timer, our Session History feature lets you write a quick log for that specific block of time (e.g., logging 'Completed prep work' for one session, and 'Weekly Call' for the next).

When it comes to actual execution, our live timer has a strict anti-overlap rule, you can only ever have one timer running at a time.

You can check it out, its free, if you dont like it, you can also delete your account real quick

Curious how this handles overlapping commitments across time zones, especially when sharing that live availability page with clients in different regions. Does the tracker sync with calendars like Google or Outlook, or is it all manual entry?

Β Hello there, no it doesn't, it only shows how many hours you have commited across your tasks/clients weekly/monthly, it only track and shows your overall time bendwith.
