TileGrab - A real-time word game where your rival steals your tiles

by•
TileGrab is a real-time word game with no turns. Two players grab letters from one shared crate at the same time and build on the same board. Nothing is yours until you lock it in: if your rival locks a word first using the letter you needed, it vanishes from your board. Play 30 stages against named rivals, an endless mode, a daily challenge, friends or real strangers, and 12-player Knockouts. Tap any word you play to learn what it means. Free on Android.

Hey Product Hunt! TileGrab started with a half-remembered dream: a golden word board, with letter tiles sitting in neat slots like treasure in a crate. When I sat down to build it, the thing that bugged me about word games was the waiting. You play a word, then you wait for the other person. So I took the turns out. In TileGrab, both players grab from ONE shared crate of tiles at the same time. Placing a word isn't enough: nothing is yours until you lock it in. If your rival locks a word first using the letter you were counting on, it vanishes from your board and you have to rebuild, fast. That moment, watching a tile you needed disappear, is the heart of the game. What's in it today: • The Climb: 30 stages against named rivals, each with its own twist • The Circuit: an endless mode where one loss ends your run • A daily challenge everyone plays on the same crate • Play a friend by code, or match with a real person (never a bot pretending to be one) • Knockouts for up to 12 players • Tap any word you played to see what it means, and keep it in your Word Vault It's free on Android, and I'm building it solo. I'd love your honest feedback, especially on the first few rounds: was it clear what to do, and did a steal ever feel unfair? I'll be here all day answering questions.
