Threadline PRO - The first AI video editor that listens to how you speak
by•
Threadline is the first AI video editor that actually listens to your footage. Not just transcription. Threadline analyzes tone, emphasis, and pacing to find the moments that matter.
Upload raw footage. Get a transcript in seconds. Pull selects or let AI find them using intonation analysis. Chat to restructure and tighten your edit. Export a structured sequence to Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.

Hey PH! I'm Jacinto, co-founder of Threadline.
I've spent the last decade making documentaries and branded video, and every project starts the same way: you record great footage, then spend 10x longer trying to turn it into something you can actually use.
Here's what bothered me most: every AI editing tool out there just reads a transcript. It treats your footage like a text document. But the best moments in video aren't about the words. They're about how someone says it. The pause before the honest answer. The shift in energy when someone gets excited.
So my co-founder Bradley (previously a founding engineer at Tavus, YC S21) and I built Threadline to actually listen. We use intonation analysis to detect tone, emphasis, and pacing in your footage, not just the words. That means Threadline can find the moments that matter, the ones a transcript-based tool would miss completely.

We ran an alpha with professional editors and the results blew us away. One editor went from one assembly per day to eight. 78% exported their results and used them on real client work.
Threadline is free to start, no credit card required. Sign up in the next 72 hours and get 30% off Pro for your first 3 months.
What's the moment in your footage you always know is gold but can never find fast enough?
Solid product, even through the early alpha builds. As a user I'm occasionally making work that's the perfect fit for Threadline but more often then not I'm throwing edge-cases at it and it STILL drastically speeds up my workflow.
Hugely impressive.
@jackfilmed Means a lot! Honestly the edge-cases are the most useful thing you do for us. The happy path was never the hard part. Every weird one you throw at it makes the next build better. Thanks for being in this early.

This is insanely clean, well done on the launch!
@ari_korin1 Thank you! Most of the products in the space seem to have less focus on UI/UX leading to bad user experience. We really honed in on that in our development as a differentiator and so far our users agree!
