My dad read the newspaper at the breakfast table every morning and told me what was going on in the world, and that was how I stayed informed. Then I moved out, and there was no dad and no paper and not much time, and I didn't really notice I'd stopped keeping up until I already had. Everything I tried instead seemed to assume I'd been following along for months, so I'd read a headline and still have no idea why it mattered. The funny thing is I never had that problem with my friends, because their news arrived in a group chat, in a way I could actually absorb. So I started The Daily Sip to do the same with the actual news for girls who want to stay informed: five stories every morning, about five minutes, from someone who already did the reading. Would love to know what you think!

A podcast version for the morning commute would be great. I love the newsletter format but sometimes I'm driving or getting ready and can't read. Even a quick 10 minute audio recap of the top stories would make this a daily habit for me instead of something I catch when I remember to check my inbox.

would love a friday recap that ties together the biggest stories from the week into one quick read, kind of like a cheat sheet so i dont have to scroll back through every issue before the weekend

Have you considered adding a "5-minute brief" audio version for mornings when reading isn't an option? Would be great to catch up on the headlines during my commute instead of doomscrolling X.

One thing that would be amazing is a quick weekend recap edition for anyone who falls behind during the week, maybe a 5-minute read covering the top stories across all five topics with links for deeper dives when you have time.

Finally a newsletter that explains market stuff without making me feel dumb or bored, and the lifestyle sections are actually interesting. Going on my morning read list.

So glad! You can sign up at

A "deep dive Friday" edition where you spend one longer piece each week really breaking down a single tech or money story with more context and sources would be awesome. As someone who reads a lot of these newsletters, the short daily format is great but sometimes I want to actually understand the bigger picture behind a headline, and right now I have to go elsewhere for that.

The "no finance bro energy" line in the description alone tells me you really get your audience. Love that the tag is honesty over hype, and the topic mix actually respects a reader's time instead of dumping five viral takes before noon.

Yes, that was the vision! Sign up at to get it straight to your inbox!
