What’s missing between ESG reporting and real sustainability action?

by•

We’re building The Climate Ledger around a problem we keep seeing in the sustainability ecosystem:

Companies are being asked to measure emissions, prepare ESG disclosures, meet sustainability requirements and set decarbonisation targets — but the actual work is often fragmented across consultants, spreadsheets, reporting tools and different teams.

We’re exploring how technology, AI and sustainability expertise can bring these pieces together — from ESG and carbon accounting to decarbonisation, compliance and sustainable finance.

Before we take TCL further, we’d love to hear from people actually working on sustainability inside companies:

What is the biggest challenge you face today?

  1. Collecting reliable sustainability data

  2. Carbon accounting / emissions measurement

  3. ESG reporting & compliance

  4. Turning targets into decarbonisation actions

  5. Finding sustainable-finance opportunities

  6. Something else

We're genuinely interested in learning from the community and building around real problems rather than assumptions.
