Building Tessar - Generate & compare cloud architectures from a brief
Hey everyone — I'm getting ready to launch Tessar and wanted to share it here first.
The short version: you describe a system in plain English ("a subscription invoicing app, ~50k users, GST-compliant, India + US") and Tessar writes a complete cloud architecture in a few minutes — components, diagrams, a monthly cost estimate, scored risks, and a roadmap. It can also generate a few competing designs from the same brief and put them side-by-side so you can see the trade-offs (cheaper here, faster there, more lock-in over there) instead of committing to the first idea that sounds reasonable.
I built it because I was tired of losing an afternoon to a blank page every time I started something new.
There's a full sample report you can look at without signing up: https://tessar.dev/r/6rAnqSapFfg
Before I launch, I'd genuinely love to know:
If you design systems — what would make this actually useful in your workflow?
Where do you think an AI-generated architecture would fall short, and what would you need to trust it?
I'll be around to chat. Honest, critical feedback is exactly what I'm after.
