So I tried every task management app I could find and nothing fit my personal (to be fair, pretty unique) requirements.
This isn’t a team sync/tracking app — it’s for personal task tracking and prioritizing based on where I am: office / home / workshop (or any custom location).
I have several places i work from and for example my office has soldering stations and my workshop has power tools. A project can have tasks that require one or the other, so i needed a quick way to sort by project and location so i can get on working quickly once i change location or even choose where to go based on project/task stack.
Projects and tasks live on a canvas and can be linked for dependencies. The canvas is heavily influenced by the Unreal blueprints system, tasks and their linked tasks can be moved together if grouped. The main goal of the canvas is to quickly create projects and tasks.
The timeline stacks them automatically in relative order (t+N based, not date-oriented).Timeline tasks can be rearranged if they are same priority and respecting dependency automatically.
The goal is to jump straight to the next priority task whenever I change physical location. I originally built it as a desktop app for myself only, but to my surprise several friends wanted access and i ported it to a web app. Feedback was very positive so i decided to make it available for anyone who might find it useful completely for free. Anyone is welcome to try it out and let me know how it goes.
The app is pretty much finished, but stuff might change/get added upon user requests, however data integrity is critical so changes are always well tested in dev env, then qa env, only then get pushed to live.
Note for paranoid freaks like me: The app is hosted on Digital Ocean, has managed databases, load balancer and backup nodes, incremental backups, Cloudflare proxied, has 2FA with trusted devices. Admin settings are on a whilelisted IP with mandatory 2FA, im a software/electrical engineer and take security very seriously (maybe too seriosly :D)
